Authorization Guidelines for TECQ Providers
The TECQ Foundation Provider Network supports a streamlined and secure process for submitting prior authorization requests. Providers can submit authorizations online through our TECQ Payer Portal or download the appropriate authorization form for fax submission. For the fastest processing, real-time status updates, and full digital request management, we highly recommend using our online authorization submission system.
1. Submit Prior Authorizations Online (Recommended)
Providers can submit and manage authorization requests through the TECQ Payer Portal. This is the preferred and fastest method of processing pre-auth requests. Online submission allows you to:
- Submit new prior authorization requests electronically
- Review, edit, and update existing authorization submissions
- Upload clinical documents and supporting medical information
- Receive real-time determination updates
- Track all pending, approved, or denied authorizations
Creating a Provider Portal Account
If this is your first time using the TECQ Payer Portal, you will need to create an account. To begin:
- Navigate to Access TECQ Provider Login
- Click on Create New User.
- Fill out all required fields marked with a *.
- Submit your request for approval.
Important Account Requirements
- Your login username is NOT your email. It should be a combination of your name and a number (example: johns3).
- You must register a separate account for each organization you want to submit authorizations for.
- Each staff member must create their own individual account. Shared logins are not permitted for security and auditing purposes.
Once your request is submitted, our team will review and approve your account within 24 hours. After approval, you may log in and begin submitting prior authorization requests immediately.
Forgot Username or Password?
If you are unable to log in, click "Forgot Password" or "Forgot Username" on the portal and follow the on-screen instructions.

2. Submit by Fax (Alternative Option)
Providers who prefer not to submit authorizations online may fax a completed authorization form. Fax submissions typically have longer processing and review times.

- Verify patient eligibility and plan benefits
- Ensure referring provider and servicing provider are in-network
- Attach supporting clinical documentation
- Confirm CPT/Diagnosis codes are correct
- Include prior treatment history when applicable
